South Carolina native, Austin Lyons, has been involved in MMA since the age of 17. He began training in a friends garage in Dyersburg, TN where he grew up. When he graduated high school in 2006 Austin weighed a stocky 250 lbs. After dedicating himself to diet, exercise, and training he lost an amazing amount of weight and now competes as a lightweight (155 pds). Austin compiled a 11-2 record as an amateur and currently 3-1 as a professional MMA fighter. He is one of the Fitness Kickboxing instructors, as well as MMA instructor.
He has won titles in the following organizations:
- Bang Fighting Championships
- High Octane Fighting Championships
- South East Regional Missouri Lightweight Champion (MMA)
- Austin will be competing for the Empire Fighting Championships Lightweight title belt on Sept. 5, 2010 at Harrah’s Tunica
